2. What data we collect

When you or your customers use Botoochat, we collect and process the following types of data:

From the store owner (our customer)

• Account information: name, email address, phone number, business name, and country
• Facebook and Instagram Business page connection tokens (used only to send and receive messages on your behalf)
• Product catalog data: product names, descriptions, prices, colors, and stock availability
• Configuration data: delivery prices, language preferences, AI assistant settings, and custom instructions
• Billing information for subscription processing

From end customers (people who message your business)

• Messages sent through Facebook Messenger and Instagram Direct
• Customer name, phone number, and delivery address when an order is confirmed
• Wilaya (delivery region) for shipping calculation
• Product preferences and order details
• Conversation history with the AI assistant

3. How we use the data

We use this data exclusively to provide the Botoochat service:

• Responding to customer messages on your behalf through Facebook Messenger and Instagram
• Confirming customer orders and capturing the information you need to fulfill them
• Sending you WhatsApp notifications when orders are confirmed
• Improving the accuracy and quality of AI responses based on your store's specific context
• Providing customer support and resolving technical issues
• Processing your subscription payments

4. What we do not do

• We do not sell personal data to anyone
• We do not share customer data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes
• We do not access data outside the scope of providing the Botoochat service
• We do not use your customers' conversations to train third-party AI models
• We do not contact your customers directly outside of the automated AI conversations you have configured

5. Third-party services

To provide Botoochat, we rely on trusted third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

• Meta Platforms (Facebook, Instagram): For receiving and sending messages through Messenger and Instagram Direct APIs
• WhatsApp: For sending order notifications to store owners
• AI technology providers: For generating helpful assistant replies based on the seller's product information and instructions
• Cloud infrastructure providers: For securely hosting the service

We share with these providers only the minimum data necessary to operate the service. Botoochat is an independent service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially partnered with Meta, Facebook, Instagram, or WhatsApp.

6. Data retention

We retain customer conversation data and order information for as long as you remain an active Botoochat customer. This allows your AI assistant to maintain conversation context and provide better service.

When you cancel your subscription, your data is retained for 30 days to allow reactivation, then permanently deleted from our active systems.

7. Data deletion requests

You or your customers can request deletion of personal data at any time by emailing support@botoochat.online.

Deletion requests are processed within 24 hours. Once a deletion request is processed:

• The specified customer data is removed from our active databases
• Conversation history involving the customer is anonymized
• Backup copies are purged on our regular 30-day backup rotation

8. Data security

We protect your data with industry-standard security practices:

• All connections to our service use HTTPS encryption
• Database access is restricted to authorized personnel only
• API tokens are stored encrypted at rest
• We regularly update our infrastructure to patch security vulnerabilities

9. Your rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Export your data in a portable format
• Withdraw consent for data processing at any time by cancelling your subscription

10. Compliance with Meta policies

Botoochat operates in accordance with Meta's Platform Terms and Developer Policies. We do not store or share data in ways that violate Meta's policies, and we respect all user rights granted by Meta's terms.

11. Children's privacy

Botoochat is a business-to-business service intended for use by registered business owners. We do not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under 18 years of age. If we discover such data has been collected, we delete it immediately.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will notify active subscribers by email at least 30 days before the changes take effect.
